DRIVE-Thru Kebab Restaurant Proposed For East End

21 December, 2021 | Food and Drink

PLANNING permission is being sought for a drive-thru restaurant and takeaway at a former car sales site in Glasgow.

The development is proposed for vacant ground on Tollcross Road, opposite Amulree Street, beside the Fullarton Park Hotel.

A design document submitted to the planning department states: “The application proposals aim to create a new concept of drive-thru offering a high quality and premium kebab experience, with significant investment planned by the applicant in branding and styling the business.

“As such, the design of the building itself aims to reflect this by providing a simple and modern aesthetic.

“The internal design will focus on a feature kebab wall with dedicated stations showcasing the food on offer, complemented by clean and modern design finishes.”

There would be indoor seating for around 20 people.

The application is pending assessment by council officials.
