A SECOND attempt is being made to get permission for flats and a convenience store at the site of a disused Glasgow pub.
The plan involves demolishing the White Elephant on Merrylee Road, near Clarkston Road, between Muirend and Cathcart, and replacing it with 12 two and three-bed flats and a 274-square-metre shop.
There would be 31 parking spaces, including 15 for shop customers.

A previous proposal for 20 flats and a store was rejected by Glasgow city planners who said it amounted to overdevelopment and that there was not enough car parking.
The new application is now pending assessment by officials.
