DETAILED plans have been brought forward for a residential development at a former Glasgow City Council depot.
Westpoint Homes are proposing three blocks containing 55 flats for sale, at Greenholme Street, off Holmlea Road in Cathcart, beside the railway line.
A design statement submitted with the application explains: “The existing site will be cleared to facilitate the creation of a vibrant, dynamic, development promoting liveable urban density.
“Proposals embrace the constraint and opportunity presented by this urban site, whilst protecting and enhancing the wider urban context.
“The development comprises three buildings arranged around a central open space with further pocket spaces to the north and south of the site.”
Fifty-three of the flats will have two bedrooms and two will have one bedroom.
The proposal is pending assessment by city planners.
