DETAILED plans have been brought forward for development of an area of open space next to the Clydeside Expressway in Partick.

Nixon Blue is proposing 48 two-bedroom apartments in two six-storey blocks at a site on Beith Street which is currently landscaped with trees, grass and a path.
The principle of residential development of the land was approved by Glasgow City Council’s planning local review committee in December 2019, subject to completion of legal agreements.

The proposal had attracted strong community opposition, with yellow ribbons being tied on trees in protest.
Consent for detailed plans is now being sought.
The pedestrian and cycle route through the site will be re-routed.
