CONSULTATION Over Greenspace At North Toryglen

14 August, 2018 | News, Parks and Greenspaces

A PUBLIC consultation event on the future of greenspace at North Toryglen is being heldĀ on Friday (17 August).

Glasgow City Council and its partners want to see greenspaces in the area improved for residents of new housing provided for rent and sale in and around Prospecthill Circus as part of the North Toryglen Transformational Regeneration Area (TRA),

The TRA boundary extends beyond the housing sites and takes in land as far as the Viridor recycling centre and Jessie Street, nearby drainage ponds, Malls Mire woodland and the grassed area to Prospecthill Crescent.

There is also Toryglen Park, between Prospecthill Circus and Aikenhead Road.Ā  Authorities admit that for the most part, this greenspace is of poor quality.

TheĀ  consultation event is being held inĀ  Toryglen Community Centre, 199 Prospecthill Circus between noon and 6pm to gather people’s views and identify what improvements people would like to see made to the open space environment there.
