A MASSIVE office block nearing completion in Glasgow City Centre has reportedly been sold for more than £200million.

Commercial property website CoStar reports that developer HFD Group has reached a deal for 177 Bothwell Street with Spanish investment firm Pontegadea, which is owned by Spain’s richest man, Amancio Ortega.

The city’s largest office building — which even features a rooftop running track — has already been pre-let to tenants including Virgin Money, BNP Paribas, AECOM, CBRE and Transport Scotland.

The 315,000 sq ft building is largely complete.

HFD itself announced last week that it would be occupying the top floor at 177 Bothwell Street.
