FISH and chip restaurant operator Mother Hubbard’s is to open its first Scottish branch in Glasgow.
The company is set to take over a unit at Springfield Quay and has applied for planning permission to make alterations to the property.

Mother Hubbard’s is based in Yorkshire but has embarked on expansion with outlets also planned for London, Coventry, Sheffield, Birmingham and Manchester.
The restaurant will be beside another newcomer to the Quay, tea room and Indian street food chain Chaiiwala, also a first for Scotland.
The new eateries are a boost for the Quay which has lost its Frankie and Benny’s and Harvester restaurants.
