CALTON Apartment Block Finished On Old School Site

3 March, 2022 | Residential

A NEW affordable housing development has been completed in Calton.

Thirty-two mid-market rent flats have been built at the corner of Little Dovehill and Bell Street.

Dovehill School and tenement properties were on the site until demolition in 1989. More recently it was a car park.

The site was last used as a car park

The homes have been developed by Glasgow Housing Association (GHA) and are managed by Lowther Homes, both part of Wheatley Group.

There are 29 two-bedroom flats plus three one-bedroom properties specially designed for wheelchair users.

The project was supported by grant funding of £2.4million from Glasgow City Council.
