CAFE Plan For Disused Part Of Queen’s Park Toilet Building

9 May, 2018 | News

GLASGOW planners are being asked to allow the disused half of a toilet block at Queen’s Park to be turned into a cafe.

An application for the building at 1001 Pollokshaws Road, near Langside Hall, has been submitted to the city council.

The premises would serve coffee, ice cream and hot food for takeaway.

Drawings provided with the application include signage indicating the facility would be called Queen’s Cafe.

A document submitted on the applicant’s behalf states: “This is a new venture and the client is looking to provide a fresh service within the area for the general public and, if all goes well, could lead to further supporting building extension.”

The application is pending consideration by officials.
