A DEVELOPER is drawing up plans for a major residential complex at Cowcaddens.
Soller Sixteen Ltd is proposing a build-to-rent development at the old DC Thomson site at 144 Port Dundas Road, opposite Cowcaddens fire station.
There would be studio, one and two-bedroom apartments plus commercial units. The number of flats envisaged has not been stated.
The developer, which has started a consultation process in advance of submitting a planning application, states: “The location offers the opportunity for the new development to be a visible landmark within the city centre.
“The proposals have been carefully considered to provide a mix of apartment types centred around a communal courtyard which can meet the demands of the modern build-to-tent tenants.”
