A DEVELOPER is working with a local housing association on plans for the vacant Arnold Clark garage on Pollokshaws Road on Glasgow’s South Side.

Initial proposals from A S Homes Scotland Ltd and Southside Housing Association are for approximately 57 flats. There would be a mixture of one, two and three-bedroom units.

Consultation required for major developments has been carried out ahead of a planning application being submitted later in the year.

Subject to planning consent being secured, it’s hoped construction could start at the end of the year.

The site is just yards from another former Arnold Clark location which is also subject to proposals for residential development.
