NEARLY 90 flats are being proposed for an old school site in Barlanark.
Springfield Properties want to build an ‘affordable’ development, comprising two blocks, on Pendeen Road, near Garrowhilll train station.
The site has been vacant since the demolition of Pendeen Road Primary School in the 1990s.
The developer states: “The proposal comprises of 84 units which is in keeping with the scale and density of the surrounding area.
“The flat units range in size from one to five bedrooms with 10 per cent of units specifically designed to accommodate wheelchair users.
“The proposal also incorporates new parking provision, open space, informal play and soft landscaping.”
The application is pending assessment by Glasgow City planners.
