24-Hour Drive-Thru Proposed For Supermarket Car Park

25 February, 2022 | Food and Drink

PLANS for a second drive-thru restaurant at a Glasgow supermarket have been submitted to the city council.

The proposals are for the Asda at Toryglen and involve an area of the car park near the entrance, on the opposite side from the petrol station.

No details of an operator are given in planning documents, although it is stated that the restaurant/takeaway would be open 24 hours a day and have 20 full-time staff and 20 part-time staff.

The application, made by Euro Garages Ltd, is pending assessment by planners.

The store already has a MacDonald’s restaurant and drive-thru in its car park.
